Today, Hopedale Mennonite Church is affiliated with Mennonite Church USA and the Illinois Mennonite Conference.
The official governing structure includes a board, commissions, and pastoral team but through it all the church seeks to follow God’s call as discerned by the gathered body.
We participate in God’s redemptive work in many ways that cannot all be named and listed here. Some examples include monthly Mennonite Women meetings (Bible study, fellowship and meal, and crafting for missions), annual summer Vacation Bible School, hosting a Christmas day community meal, and engaging with needs in the local community.
Beyond our local community we take part in national and global efforts such as the Illinois Mennonite Relief Sale, the work of Mennonite Disaster Service, Growing Hope Globally, international relief efforts of Mennonite Central Committee. We also maintain direct relationship and support with Mennonite Mission Network mission workers, Matthew & Toni Kraybill.
