How we worship

While we delight in the opportunity to worship the Lord every day, we set aside Sunday morning to worship together in community. Sunday Worship Services are a time to join together as a congregation and worship our Lord and Savior. Services include a pastoral message and include both traditional acapella and accompanied congregational singing. Services often include congregational testimony, where individuals can share experiences in their walk with Christ. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We dedicate one Sunday in both the spring and fall towards the focus of mission work. Those Sundays we look forward to hearing from guest speakers who are involved with missions.

A number of times throughout the year we also join in worship with other pastors and churches in our community. The Hopedale Ministerial Alliance plans and leads typically four services throughout the year which give us an opportunity to worship with other Christians in the area.

1 Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord all the earth. 2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.

Psalm 96:1&2

Worship gatherings are the most consistent meeting for the church, on Sunday mornings at 9:30. We worship with scripture reading, songs, prayer, teaching, sharing, and more.

Worship is not a show or performance, but a time for the community to participate together in worshiping God. For some people this might mean joining the worship service online via Zoom, sitting in one of the rocking chairs in the sanctuary, singing along with the songs, serving as a worship leader, or a variety of other things.

To help make worship possible for all we have space in the sanctuary for families with children where some toys, books, and coloring supplies are available. There is also a volunteer staffed toddler room, as well as a nursery room for babies and parents with a live audio feed.

We like to be creative with our worship gatherings which occasionally means changing the time or location. Please check the calendar, blog, or Facebook for the most up to date information.

If you’d like to join worship via Zoom, contact the church office, a pastor, or by Facebook message.

Recordings of sermons and worship services from the past are also available in our church library and our YouTube channel.
